Cy Curnin fronts 80’s legends The Fixx while turning out solo material at a furious rate, to the delight of fans who can’t get enough of his arrestingly distinctive vocal style and lyrics that are by turn witty, wise, and evocative.

Soon after Cy and Adam Woods formed The Fixx with guitarist Jamie West-Oram and Rupert Greenall on keyboards, the band became an early staple on MTV through a string of thought-provoking tracks that generated platinum album sales. They continue to attract new fans through the release of new material, regular airplay and a formidable touring schedule.

Meanwhile, Cy’s solo career has taken off with a string of acclaimed CD’s including 2009’s Solar Minimum, a rare project that weaves trademark touches of techno with haunting strings, R&B and a Western flourish, helped along by an outstanding array of musical talent including string arranger Emmanuel d'Orlando, Vihn Pham (violinist of the Sinfionetta de Paris), Bruce Gaisch on slide guitar, drummer Will Chism, and Fixx band mates Jamie West-Oram on guitar and Rupert Greenall on the Melodica.

Away from the road, Curnin operates an inn and self-sustaining farm, keenly aware of how important it is to make a positive contribution on the planet and give more than one takes away.

In 2007, Cy became involved with the Love Hope Strength Foundation and joined other musicians, seasoned climbers and cancer survivors in treks to perform fundraising concerts at the base camp of Mount Everest and Machu Picchu. In the fall of 2009, their destination is Kilimanjaro.
